Scott and Liz's Wedding

 What a Beautiful Bride !
This shirt was nearly impossible to get on.  We did however eventually get it on and before we knew it, it was completely covered in chocolate from the chocolate dipping fountain.

So many good looking' couples at this wedding!

Yummy!

Happy 8th Birthday!

It's great to be eight!  For Annie's birthday we made little bunt shaped cakes and put them into a figure 8.  She had a fun little family birthday party.  It was exciting for her to realize that in a few weeks she would be able to be baptized! As a family tradition we also celebrated Annie's birthday with family in Utah at the Lion House.  It was VERY special to be able to be with cousins and learn about the pioneers. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!

First Day of School 2013

 First Day of 3rd Grade!

 First Day of 1st Grade!
Richard was sad to see his big brother and sister go back to school.  He wanted to go too! To ease his pain and to spend some quality time together we made orange cupcakes and wrote a book together called "Orangealicious".

The Whole Family Together in Colorado!

Never is there a dull moment when we are all together at Nana and Papa's house.  The days are packed full of fun riding the four wheeler, riding Daddy's old bikes, running through the sprinklers, riding the lawn mower through sprinklers, finding and taking care of baby bunnies, eating garlic  salsa and playing with the cutest little babies ever!  We have such a great time together. It was a special privilege this time to meet and welcome Liz, Scotty's fiancĂ© into the family!

Tea Parties With Grandma

Grandma Chris always has a tea party for the granddaughters and young grandsons, but this year was a little different and a little more special.  The girls were able to dress up in Grandma Lael's dresses and also use her beautiful dishes.  They were such lovely ladies!  Ethan played part of Butler and waiter.  Richard ate all the yummy food in the kitchen and Lucas found a good soft place to sleep as you can see above.

Backpacking in Utah

Shawn, Randen, Ritchie, Thayne and Sam went on a backpacking trip up into the Uintas.  They had a great time and were able to overcome hiking challenges together and catch some fish to eat for dinner.  The scenery was beautiful, but the mosquitos were thick and nasty.  They had a good time anyway!  I still can't believe that Ritchie carried his gun all the way up the mountain with all the rest of his gear!

A Visit with Great Grandma

It was great to be able to visit Grandma Audrey and introduce her to little Lucas!  It was good to see that she is in better health.  We are grateful that she lives in Utah so we have a chance to stop by and visit her when we are there.

First Hike with Lucas

We hiked to the Tympanogus caves as a family.  We had to put little Rich on a leash so he wouldn't fall off the side of the cliff.  The caves were beautiful! It was a great hike to do all together and afterwards we relaxed in the shade in Shawn hammock.  A memorable day! It was so nice to have Daddy back with us after being gone for three weeks!
