Richard's First Birthday

When handing food to Richard, he will not just take one with his finger tips, but grab the entire handful and stuff it into his tiny mouth. Thus we felt that a Cookie Monster birthday cake was appropriate. We had fun singing to him and watching him smile as he knew that all attention was on him. Annie and Ethan had a great time blowing out his candle. Oh how we love this cute little guy!

A Vistit for Nana and Papa

What fun it was to have Nana and Papa come for Easter. We spent a morning at the Zoo, went on the tram up the mountain and celebrated Mom and Dad's wedding anniversary with a yummy carrot cake. We always love it when our Grandparents come to visit and we always have a day of the "blues" when they leave.

Lost Tooth!

Annie lost her first tooth at the end of April. She was so happy to wake up in the morning to find that the tooth fairy had brought her a new little tooth pillow with a dollar in it.

Lookin' Sharp!

It was great to be able to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa. Even though it was a quick weekend trip, we had a lot of fun spending time together shopping and playing with the kids. We always look pretty spiffy after Grandma and Grandpa leave.

Wicked!

We finally were able to go see Wicked! We have been listening to the songs from Wicked ever since Annie was a baby and we have every song practically memorized. It was great to be able to put the story together from the puzzle pieces we had from the soundtrack. It was everything we hoped it would be and we had a fantastic time!

7th Anniversary

We celebrated our marriage by spending some time together out on the town. Dinner and a movie seems pretty simple, but we had a great time getting away for the night with just the two of us. BBQ ribs and steak for dinner then to the cinema to see "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader". Shawn took the kids out to get something earlier that day and came home with these beautiful flowers. Annie said "These roses are red and red is for love."

Christmas in Colorado

We had a great Christmas playing with cousins, eating lots of sweets and chatting with family. The kids all made gingerbread houses that were unique to each individual. Richard enjoyed all the paper, boxes and bows. It was great to be all together again after having Uncle Scott gone for a couple of years.
