June- A Month With Grandma and Grandpa
The month of June Shawn was away in Chicago attending an institute about Spanish Paleography so we decided to go hang with Grandma and Grandpa in Utah. The month was packed full of good times! It was also a privilege to spend some time with my brother Ry who I hadn't seen for a long time. The kids now know who Uncle Ryan is and that he is a pretty fun Uncle! It was also great to spend time with the rest of the family! I love it when we are all together! Annie enjoyed being the princess at her birthday party at the Lion House. Thank you Grandma!
Rock Climbing
We took a small trip with our good friends the Stewarts to a a place where we could rock climb and enjoy the outdoors. Everyone had a chance to climb and then we discovered the mud! A great time!
Ethan's Birthday
For Ethan's birthday this year we envied friends to join us on a bike treasure hunt. The kids had a great time reading clues (so cleverly created by Ethan's Parents) that lead them around Mariposa park and eventually to a small treasure. We had a little BBQ after the hunt and had fun with presents and a basketball cake. Ethan loves to ride his bike and is pretty good at it. It was the perfect year for this kind of party.
Happy Birthday Rich!
It was fun to have our friend Mike join us for Richard's birthday! Rich also loved his new strider bike! Shawn wanted to give it to him the day it came in the mail, but I really wanted him to wait until his birthday. I'm glad we did, it was worth the wait. He can really get going pretty fast on that little bike!
Ethan's First Backpacking Trip
This picture taken after the hike was over.
Snow in the mountains doesn't stop my boys from going hiking. Ethan went on his first official overnight back packing trip with his Dad up the Jemez mountains near Santa Fe. We were proud of this little guy! Way to go E!
Easter
Spring! Easter eggs! Matching Sunday clothes! What could be more fun. This Easter we had dinner at the Holbrook's house with a group of friends. Watching the little ones find their six eggs was as much fun for the parents as it was for the kids!
Spring Break in Arizona
Chunka Nunks!
We have made a little tradition of going to visit family in Arizona for spring break. The weather is perfect there this time of year and we always have so much fun playing and spending time together. The two new babies had a chance to get to know each other and we couldn't get enough pictures of the cute little couple! They both rolled over for the first time on this trip! It's such a great time of life where the kids can be entertained by the neighborhood park and homemade bottle rockets!
